Imagine the luls you get if you crop out spike just the right way.
Spike's left arm doesn't make much intuitive sense to me considering the gesture that I'm seeing here.
Stretch and squash was applied to exaggerate how blown-back she was when she saw that fire ruby.
Kinda funny to notice that Spike's feet were changing lengths during this scene. Though I'm no animation expert, stuff like that can be seen as a beginner's mistake, or it could be an instance of stretch and squash being used.
The gem appears to be drawn in an awkward perspective - it should be viewed at a more 3/4ths type of angle instead of being viewed from the front.

Lol @ tangents. The ear's outline is running into the outline of the ear. Visual tangents like that needs to be avoided for anyone who wants to trace this pic for some reason. The lower mane is also creating a similar tangent.
also, it's a shame that I have so many blinking screencaps... but I needed them only for background stuff. Besides, profile-view poses like this is hard to make anything decent with.

They forgot to add that magic effect on her horn.
I would think that with a smile that big, Scootaloo's cheeks should be pushing up into her eyes like post #111
lol @ lamp. Sure, the animators recycle background elements a lot, but that's some pretty fancy interior design for being a cave.
Broken window is broken.
